The most celebrated and acknowledged South Indian actor-director duo, Mohanlal and Priyadarshan are teaming up again for a segment in the upcoming Netflix anthology based on MT Vasudevan Nair's stories. The segment Olavum Theeravum, directed by Priyadarshan is a retelling of the 1970 classic of the same name. MT Vasudevan Nair scripted the film based on his story of the same title, which was published in 1957. Mohanlal will play the lead role of Bapputty, essayed by Madhu in the original film. Durga Krishna, Hareesh Peradi, and Mammukoya are playing other major roles. Santosh Sivan is the cameraman, and Sabu Cyril handles the production design. The production team has wrapped the shooting and will proceed with other post-production works.
